Making Monday Pretty: Fall Makeup Trends

It's finally starting to feel like fall and we can't wait to crack out our cozy knits and luxe scarves. In the summer we tend to wear less makeup so fall is a good time to try out a new trend or a more statement look. Below are three hot (but totally wearable) trends for this season.
For an update to the smokey eye that is still just as smouldering, try covering your entire eyelid in intense, ink black pencil or cream shadow and leaving the bottom completely bare for an edgy and unexpected look. For a crease free finish, our favourite is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Dramatic Black from their Leather Collection.
Nothing says fall like a deep, berry stained lip. Pair this look with minimal makeup elsewhere, pale gold on the eyes with mascara and perhaps a hint of liner. Make sure however to still even out your skin with foundation or concealer and use blush sparingly, this look is all about the lips! Our favourite deep berry is the new Nars Audacious Lipstick in Bette which is so richly pigmented it covers in just one swipe.
For fall graphic eyeliner was seen on the runways as well as pops of colour on the eye. For a more subtle look try a thick graphic cat eye in simple black, or a wash of eye shadow in a fun colour all over the eyelid, but for the those of you looking for a bold statement we say go for graphic in colour!
