We're Watching: Girls Just Want to Have Fun

The 1985 teenage dance classic Girls Just Want To Have Fun starring Sarah Jessica Parker is one of our favourite movies to watch on repeat! SJP's character, Janey, has all the quirk you'd expect from an adolescent Carey Bradshaw. With her best friend Lynne (Helen Hunt) by her side, Janey pursues her ultimate dream and auditions to be on her favourite dance show based in Chicago, Dance TV. It's during this misadventure of intense dance routines and rehearsals that she breaks out of her shell, meets a boy, and beats an enemy (in a dance off, obviously).
