We're Watching: Cruel Intentions

This 1999 NYC high school drama sends shivers down our spines. The heavy hitting cast; Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe, Selma Blair; lightens up the overall dark theme with intriguing character chemistry. Wealth and popularity gives mean-girl Kathryn the power of control and manipulation, reeking havoc on the lives of her step brother and innocent classmates. Through all the heartbreak and anxiety, though, there's that glimmer of actual love that you find yourself genuinely hoping will work out for the blonde, baby-faced Reese Witherspoon. You'll also find yourself eternally grateful that high school was never actually this intense for you.
Kathryn is bad to the bone; and we think that Sarah Michelle Gellar's undeserving character would be decked out in these gems if she wasn't stuck in the 90's.
