We're Watching: The Virgin Suicides
Posted by Hayley French on
Sofia Coppola's beautiful adaptation of Jeffery Eugenide's debut novel The Virgin Suicides is as romantic as it is tragic. Set in a sleepy suburb of Detroit in the 1970's, this 1999 drama centers around five mysterious sisters with whom the neighbourhood boys are obsessed. The initial suicide of the youngest sibling causes the girls very religious parents to impose upon them a very strict set of rules. Isolation and depression set in for the sheltered Lisbon sisters as they seek distraction from their confinement. Lux Lisbon, played by Kirsten Dunst, is young, reckless, and rebellious. Mani Monday: Velvet Fall Nails
Posted by Hayley French on
This week we were inspired by all the luxe fabrics that the fall season brings and thought we would add them to our nails as well! After applying base coat, paint all ten nails with the first coat of your colour. 2. One at a time, paint the second...

They're not quite able to convince everyone that they are the inventors of Post-it notes and a little bit of damage control is necessary. The lead up to the impending reunion is equally funny as the girls attempt to lose weight, find boyfriends, and snag better...

Mani Monday: Rose Gold Sparkle Nails
Posted by Hayley French on
This week we wanted to bring a little sparkle to this rainy Monday and felt inspired by our beautiful new crystal clutches from Serpui Marie. Here's how we did it! 1. After applying base coat, apply two coats of your favourite nude. Here we used Topless and Barefoot by Essie as it has a creamy pink undertone that looks beautiful with the rose gold glitter, and you can find it here. 2. One nail at a time apply a topcoat and while it is still wet, use a toothpick or orange stick to pick up your glitter and stick around...
